Sriracha Salmon and Avocado


I was on the phone with my sister right after I made this and she said, “I just ate but you’re making me want this right now.” I felt pretty good because that means I’m doing something right. So here we have a simple mix of maple syrup, sriracha, and lime juice added to some packaged salmon. What you get is sweet and spicy just the way I like it. 

Serves 2


  • 1 5 ounce packaged salmon
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha
  • 1/2 of a lime 
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried cilantro, (I prefer fresh cilantro I just didn’t have any on hand)
  • 1 medium avocado, halved and pit removed
  • 1 carrot, shredded
  • 2 tablespoons queso cheese


  1. Place salmon in bowl and add maple syrup, sriracha, and juice of half a lime
  2. Mix ingredients together
  3. Plate avocados and stuff with salmon
  4. Place carrot shreds on top of salmon and sprinkle on queso cheese
